I provide empathic therapy and coaching for expats and international students that are facing life challenges.
My expat journey began in 2013 when I moved to Groningen, the Netherlands, to start my studies in Psychology. Since then I have completed a Master’s in Clinical Psychology at the University of Groningen and a Coaching and Counselling training at the Academie voor Coaching en Counselling in Amstelveen. At the moment, I am following two additional coaching and therapy training programmes: a coaching specialization in stress and burnout and a psychotherapy education in family therapy and systemic practice.
Working as a therapist and coach is my second career after 6 years of working as a Human Resources Generalist in international corporations and NGOs. During this time, I have experienced and observed how life changes such as relocation, job transition or work environment can bring up old issues or stir up new ones.
My approach as a therapist and coach is client-centered, which means that I aim to know you as a unique individual and form a collaboration based on mutual respect, acceptance, and trust. In my therapeutic work, I create a space where you can be seen, heard, and acknowledged. As a coach, I will support you in your path by setting goals, encouraging reflection and self-awareness. In my sessions I use elements of CBT, Mindfulness, systemic therapy, and coaching.
I offer therapy in English, and Romanian for people based in Groningen and online.
