We offer treatment to clients aged 18 and over within Generalist Mental Health Care (Basis GGZ) and Specialist Mental Health Care (Specialistische GGZ). Our clients are mainly expats, internationals, (international) students and Dutch professionals.
Inter-Being Psychologists has two locations:
Amsterdam: therapy in English, German, Norwegian, Turkish, Arabic and Dutch.
Groningen: therapy in English, Dutch, German and Serbo-Croatian.
Health insurance coverage
Treatment can be covered by your health insurance, provided the problems fall within insured care and you have a valid referral letter. Treatment is currently not covered for a number of conditions, such as adjustment disorder, specific phobia, sleep disorders, life-phase problems, work-related problems and relationship problems.
At Inter-Being Psychologists we have chosen not to have contracts with health insurance companies. This means you will initially pay for the treatment yourself and can then claim the costs back (in part) from your insurer. We work according to the NZA rules (Nederlandse Zorgautoriteit). An overview of reimbursement percentages per insurer and policy can be found on Contractvrijepsycholoog .We also accept clients with a European health insurance (European Health Insurance Card, EHIC), which covers 100% of your treatment.
The referral letter must contain the following information;
- Name, address and citizen service number (BSN) of your patient
- Date of the referral, prior to the intake
- An explicit choice for treatment within Generalist Mental Health Care (Basis GGZ) or Specialist Mental Health Care (Specialistische GGZ)
- (Suspected) DSM-5 disorder
- Name, practice address and AGB code of the referring physician
- Practice stamp or signature of the referrer
- Contact details of Inter-Being Psychologists (AGB code: 22221231)

You can refer your patients via Zorgmail and Zorgdomein. We also kindly ask you to advise your patient to contact us themselves. You can give the referral letter to your patient or send it to us via Zorgmail. Health insurers only reimburse treatment if the referral letter meets the requirements above.
